Is donating eggs painful?
Many egg donors describe the process of egg retrieval as uncomfortable but not painful as you are sedated and receive pain medication. The egg retrieval procedure involves inserting a thin needle through the vaginal wall to extract the eggs from the ovaries, which may cause some mild discomfort, bloating, or pelvic pain after the procedure. Most women can resume normal activities within a few days.
