Our dedicated Cryos Customer Care department wants to support and guide you on your path to parenthood. Our representatives makes sure that the process is as simple and convenient as possible. They are always happy to help you with any questions or concerns, and provide additional information you may need.


Have you ever wondered who the people are that answer the phone calls, chats, and emails at Cryos? We have interviewed some members of the our Customer Care Team to give you the inside scoop about who they are, and what they do!

Meet our Customer Care Specialist, Vicmaris!

Vicmaris, how long have you been working at Cryos and what is your role?

I have had the pleasure of working at Cryos since November of 2019 as a Customer Care Coordinator. My role includes interfacing with our clients,  assisting with their donor sperm and donor egg orders, and answering any questions they may have along the way via chat, email, and phone.

What is your favorite part about being a Customer Care Coordinator for Cryos?

I love helping our clients with their path to parenthood. It is very fulfilling to be able to help someone who wants to be a parent more than anything in the world. Many customers thought that it was not possible prior to knowing the services available through Cryos. I love that I can be a part of that journey and educate them on what might work best for them.

Which questions are you asked most frequently?

I get a lot of questions on ovulation, and timing of shipping orders in order to arrive before the peak ovulation window. Also, about differences in sperm straws like motility, and washed versus unwashed questions.

  • About Ovulation: Ovulation is the determining factor in getting pregnant. It is one of the most important things a woman should know about her body in terms of pregnancy. Ovulation occurs when the ovary releases a mature egg. During this time it breaks through the ovary wall and travels down to where it can be fertilized. This usually occurs once every month for most women. To read more about ovulation and how it works click here.
  • About Ordering and Shipping: Cryos ships sperm and egg orders within a dry shipping container and a nitrogen charged tank. This can be either a small tank that lasts 7 days from the day it is shipped out, or a large tank which lasts 12 days for an additional charge.   • About MOT: MOT, short for motility, refers to the number of active sperm cells in a one millilitre sample. The level of sperm motility you may need will differ depending on the type of treatment you will have. Remember that we use CBS security straws which hold 0.5 millilitre samples.
  • About Washed vs. Unwashed: Cryos offers both washed and unwashed donor sperm that can be purchased. Washed sperm means that it is IUI-ready and unwashed sperm is ICI-ready. ICI is often referred to as home insemination and can be done using typically unwashed sperm. IUI is an infertility treatment performed by a medical provider using prepared and washed sperm. What is one thing that you wish clients would know or do better?

I wish clients would realize the valuable resources Cryos makes available to them via our website and especially our blog. Answers to almost all their questions, can be found there. Reading through the available blogs can truly help educate clients, prepare them for what to expect, and empower them with the knowledge to make the best decisions possible.

Do you have any tips for clients starting the process or planning to order?

Tracking ovulation is key to giving you your best chances. Start tracking a couple months before getting ready to order so you are familiar with your ovulation. I get a lot of questions about this so I recommend educating yourself about ovulation with our blog and learn how to track your LH surge to ensure you are ordering and inseminating when you are most fertile.

Also, we have a Facebook Group called Family Dreams - Cryos USA that is a great support system and resource for the members who are pursuing parenthood or have achieved the dream of creating a family with Cryos.

Is there anything else you would like for our clients to know?
