Ordering Donor Sperm at Cryos: You Can Pick It Up
Cryos USA - International Sperm and Egg Bank, offers the option to pick-up your donor sperm at our Orlando office location if you live in Florida or are visiting. Pick-up is only available for donor sperm orders.
Our pick-up times are Monday-Thursday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
Why Pick-Up Your Donor Sperm Tank?
Picking up your tank at Cryos is a great option for those who live in or are traveling to Florida and want to save some money by avoiding shipping expenses. It costs $50 for the pick-up service with a 7-day nitrogen tank and $100 to pick up with a 12-day large tank.
You'll also have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with one of our friendly Customer Care Coordinators who can answer any questions you may have about using donor sperm. Take the opportunity to ask as many questions that you have with the Cryos Care Coordinator while on-site. Tip of the day: write down your questions before you make the trip!
Overall, the pick-up process is pretty simple and convenient for our Florida clients within driving distance of our office.
The Pick-Up Process
When ordering your donor sperm, make sure to select the state of Florida for the pick-up option to appear in the drop-down menu. Once your order has been prepared and it is ready for pick-up, you will need to physically drive to our office.
Your tank will be ready for pick-up after 9:00 am EST on the requested pick-up date. While we are open at 8:00 am, it does take staff a little bit of time to get your order ready, so please be patient if you arrive before 9:00 am. If you are picking up your tank and taking it to a clinic, please make sure to leave a message in the remarks section of your order letting us know.
You also have the opportunity to ship your tank back to us, but you will need to purchase a return tank label which will cost an additional $60. Call in separately after placing your order online to add the return label or you can request one when you come for pick-up at Cryos.
*IMPORTANT* - Please bring your photo ID and your order number when picking up your tank. You MUST have your photo ID (sorry, no exceptions!). If you would like for someone else to pick up the tank, you will need to fill out our power of attorney form which gives them permission to pick-up your tank on your behalf. You must list that person's name on the form and they are required to show their photo ID when arriving at Cryos.
Cryos is very cautious with your order and we want to make sure that we are releasing it to the correct person.
Ready to Return/Drop-Off Your Tank
Once you have completed your home insemination or clinic visit, you will need to return the tank and yellow shipper to Cryos. You have the option to physically drop it off at our office location during office hours or ship it back to us. Please notify us if you would like to ship the tank back instead of dropping it off, because as stated above, you will need to request a return label from Cryos.
Remember, there is a $60 fee for the return label. You can notify us by phone or ask for a return label when you pick it up. Also, please note that we can charge a substantial fee if you forget to return the tank. However, we will send you reminders so you should be just fine.
Depending on the size of the tank you select, you will need to return the tank to us within the time frames listed below. Your paperwork inside the tank will also have a sticker giving you the "return by" date too.
- Large tank: must be returned after 15 days
- Small tank: must be returned after 10 days
These return time frames are determined by the life of the tank plus an additional three days. The life of a large tank is 12-days and Cryos gives you three extra days on top of that to return the tank.
The small tank has a life of 7-days and you also have three days added to that time to return the tank. The life of the tank starts on pick up day when your order is packed.
