What is IUI treatment (Intra Uterine Insemination)?

Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI) is a fertility treatment done at clinics, that entails the donor sperm being inseminated directly into the uterine cavity.

Scientific studies have shown a three to four times higher pregnancy rate through IUI than through cervical/vaginal insemination (ICI treatment). However, before IUI can be carried out, the sperm must be prepared through swim-up or density gradient centrifugation in order to remove prostaglandins and bacteria. If this is not done, the patient may react negatively or get severe cramps.

For your peace of mind, Cryos offers thoroughly prepared IUI ready sperm straws.
