Handling the nitrogen tank
When shipped, the sperm straws are placed in a container that is charged with liquid nitrogen. This extremely cold tank is then placed inside a transport box. A small nitrogen tank will keep sperm straws frozen for seven days. A large nitrogen tank will keep sperm straws frozen for 12 days. When ordering online, please indicate in the text field if you want to pay extra for the large nitrogen tank. Donor sperm should be stored in the nitrogen tank until it is ready to be used. If you are going to an IVF clinic the sperm can also be transferred to the clinic’s nitrogen tank.
Delivery options
The shipment date is chosen by you when you order online. We require 2 business days notice in advance prior to shipping. Rush order service is available for an additional charge and will be shipped the day of or day after ordering. Same day rush orders must be completed by 10 AM EST.
Delivery times
Cryos uses FedEx as our courier for domestic and international shipments. The delivery times below are estimates. We are unable to factor in delays on shipping due to weather. Cryos is unable to guarantee shipments delayed due to weather. Please note that Overnight Priority orders shipped on Friday will arrive on Monday.

Do I need to be at home to receive the delivery?
If shipping directly to your home you will need to be home to sign for the delivery. If you are not going to be home you also have the option to hold your delivery at a FedEx shipping center. If you choose this option, please contact us for additional information.

Late order fee
A late order fee of $125 will apply for same-day and next day shipping orders. Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST for shipping the next working day or same-day will be charged this fee.

Returning the nitrogen tank
All shipments using liquid nitrogen dry shipper tanks are roundtrip. In the documents that are shipped with every order, you will receive a return shipping label and detailed instructions on how to prepare the tank for return delivery.
Liquid nitrogen dry shipper tanks are to be returned to Cryos within 10 days after the initial shipping date for the small nitrogen tank and 15 days after the initial shipping date for the large nitrogen tank. Failure to return the tank within this time period may result in additional charges for the tank rental.
Terms of delivery
Terms of delivery are DAP (Delivered At Place) in accordance with Incoterms 2010. This means door-to-door, but excludes all forms of local customs formalities such as customs clearance, import clearance, VAT, customs duty, tax, etc.
