How much do you make as a Sperm donor
The sperm donor compensation schedule is as follows:
- Per ejaculate - $25 (per visit) + $10 gift card
- Per tested ejaculate made that is MOT5 or higher (on each successive visit) - $30
- Per batch release - $25
Sperm donors will earn $25 per ejaculate/visit at Cryos plus a $10 gift card. The sperm laboratory will then test your specimen. If the sperm quality produced is a MOT5 or higher, you will be compensated an additonal $30 for the first sample on your next visit. In addition to that $25 per ejaculate is added to your bank which is paid out once you close the batch at 10 good ejaculates and it make it through 6 months of quarantine and rethaw you will get an additional $250.
After sperm donors produce a batch (ten ejaculates), your specimens go into quarantine. After the six-month quarantine period, the sperm donor will be called in for a brief medical examination. When all the test results have been obtained, provided that they are normal, the quarantine is lifted, and the sperm samples are released from quarantine. After the sperm samples are released from quarantine, you will get paid $250 (10 good specimens x $25) which was saved in your bank account.
Donors are required to pay taxes on the amount earned from Cryos and you will receive a 1099. It is the donors’ responsibility to do so.

Since the sperm donor compensation depends on many different factors, the amount each donor receives differs a lot from one man to another.
When do I get paid after a sperm donation?
Once you close a batch of 10 good sperm donations, you will receive your compensation. If you make it through your 6 months quarantine and rethaw, you will receive another $250.
How many sperm donors do it for the money?
We asked amongst our sperm donors and it turned out that most of them choose to donate because of hollistic reasons like helping others fulfil their dream of a child. Compensations is an important part, but not as important as helping others.
Why is it not called sperm donor salary?
The amount of money you are paid after each sperm donation is considered as a compensation for your time and effort. Therefore, it is not referred to as a sperm donor salary.
