Women with infertility
Infertility affects LGBT couples, women in heterosexual couples and single women. Certain types of infertility such as Premature Ovarian Failure and early menopause may require the use of donor eggs to conceive a child. Cancer patients and survivors may also find that they need donor eggs after completing treatment. So even if a woman struggles with female infertility and is unable to use her eggs, she can still get pregnant using an egg donor. Eggs are readily accessible for women to have delivered to the personal clinic of their choosing for treatment in the US or internationally.

Same-sex couples
Same-sex couples seeking the use of frozen donor eggs are on the rise. In conjunction with a surrogate to carry the child, same-sex couples now have a great opportunity to start a family. Cryos will work with the client’s clinic and surrogacy agency to provide the best experience possible on the path towards family building.

The development in the use of frozen donor eggs
The first child born using donor eggs was reported in Australia in 1983 when the procedure was still considered experimental. Since then many advances in cryopreservation have been made. Over the years, many people have used frozen donor eggs with great success to have the children of their dreams when traditional fertility treatment has been unsuccessful.
Today, many of our clients are women suffering from infertility due to a variety of causes. We know that our clients value knowing a great deal about our egg donors. Understanding a donor’s interests, values, hobbies and what she looked like as a child, plays a big role in the potential family’s decision-making process. Many of our clients use an ID Release egg donor with an Extended Profile so they can see an adult photo and give their child the opportunity to reach out to the donor at a later stage in life. The choice between an ID Release or a Non-ID Release donor is individual since everyone will have their reason for their decision. In addition, the residing country can also influence the choice, as different countries have different regulations regarding fertility treatment.
