Does egg donation hurt? 

During the egg retrieval procedure, you will receive intravenous (IV) analgesia. Most women experience almost no pain during the procedure, but you may experience some discomfort afterwards. Furthermore, we recommend clearing your schedule for the rest of the day, so you can relax.

After the procedure, you can walk and bike home, but if you plan to drive, you will need a person who can help you, as you are unable to drive after the procedure, due to the intravenous medication.
