How to Calculate the Price for Donor Sperm

The price of your donor sperm order is determined by the type of donor you choose, the motility level and the shipping method required for your fertility treatment. Here we answer questions about calculating prices for your order.

How does donor type effect price?

Your choice of donor type affects the total cost because some types of donors are more expensive than others: An ID Release Donor is more expensive than a Non-ID Release Donor and a donor with an Extended Profile is more expensive than a donor with a Basic Profile.

How does straw type effect price?

Your fertility treatment option will also influence the price of your order. The choice between IUI and ICI straws depends on the type of fertility treatment that is best for you. The cost of IUI straws is higher than the cost of ICI straws due to the extended laboratory process to prepare the straws for IVF. For home insemination we suggest you use two MOT10 straws to wrap around your most fertile time. If you are unsure, speak to your doctor about the fertility treatment option that is best for you.

How does motility effect price?

The motility or MOT of each sperm straw, also affects the total cost. The overall price of your order will increase with higher motility straws. The choice of motility depends on your treatment method. Learn more about the Cryos recommended motility for fertility treatment options here.

Please note that the donor sperm is delivered in 0.4 ml or 0.5 ml straws. A 20% discount has been applied to our 0.4 ml straws.
