Can my child get in touch with the sperm donor in the future?
If you have chosen an ID Release Sperm Donor, your child can receive identifying information about the donor when they turn 18 years old. If you have chosen a Non-ID Release Sperm Donor, no one can receive any information other than what is specified in the donor’s profile on our website.
When you have registered a pregnancy with us, you can receive a Donor Child Certificate. To do so, please contact our Customer Care Team.
If the donor is an ID Release Donor, your child may contact Cryos when they turn 18. We will present the Donor Child Certificate, and give them the identifying information, which they can use to try to contact the donor. The identifying information is the sperm donor's full name and date of birth and his latest address provided to Cryos by the donor. Please be aware, that although the donor has agreed to be contacted, Cryos cannot guarantee if the sperm donor has changed his mind or whether he is contactable. The donor-conceived child can embark on this journey once they reach the age of 18.
If you have further questions, please contact our Customer Care Team.
